Review of October Sky (1999) by Monsieur R — 11 Apr 2010
True story or not, this is a joke. Hate to be hard on any film, but do we always have to have movies with actors speaking southern? As if that adds credibility?
This film with its 50's soundtrack, reminded me of a lame attempt at American Graffiti.
Homer launches rockets in the midst of the Russian Sputnik threat. Is this a plot?
This bothers me as so weak and concocted. Even if it's based on a true story.
Without a half hour passing by I saw this film as a waste of my time. Maybe not yours, but mine.
A very pretentious and silly film seeking a profound statement. Perhaps we should fast forward to the end of the film to see the climax.
