October Sky was a phenomenally predictable snorefest that must have been going down a cliche checklist. The formula used was so tired and faithfully followed that I can see its skeleton. It has nothing creative to offer and no inspiration to give.
I don't see anyone taking anymore inspiration to follow their dreams from October Sky than they would from a bumper sticker.
