Review of Ocean's Twelve (2004) by Raja N — 24 Jan 2011
That's not really bad as everyone seems to say, but it's surely not as good as the first installment. The problem in my opinion lied with the high expectations everyone had after Ocean's eleven. I know that because I rated this 2 stars after it came out, but raised it after the re-watch. This is far from perfect, but it's still good enough, taking out the part of Julia Roberts pretending to be Julia Roberts that I couldn't appreciate.
Another bad thing, is that the original didn't need a sequel. It's not that there wasn't room for one, but it was just unnecessary.
However, Soderbergh did just fine, with the same supercast of the first, adding Vincent Cassel and Catherine Zeta-Jones, and just succeeded to make a good entertaining movie.
