Review of Obvious Child (2014) by Juli S — 12 Feb 2015
If crude humor about day old women's underpants (complete w/ visuals) if your thing, you might enjoy this movie about a 20-something coming to terms w/ the consequences of a one night stand, but I found it dull.
I think how much you like the movie will depend on how much you like the performance by real life comedian Donna Stern, as she's in every scene. Personally, I found her one page interview in the November issue of Vanity Fair a lot more edgy and interesting.
The character she plays seems dumbed down by comparison. Not the worst movie I've ever seen, but it left me feeling "meh.".
