Review of Obvious Child (2014) by Richard I — 27 Apr 2018
Played perfectly, and containing all the usual absurdities and loose-ends of romantic comedies, neatly scripted and with a lead who manages the difficult trick of being beautiful then ugly within the same shot, there's little to despise about this rough diamond, other than the obligatory girl on a toilet scene which seems to be the new hallmark for how much we've progressed as a society willing to put anything it does on screen.
