Review of Observe and Report (2009) by Michael G — 23 May 2010

Observe and Report is as every bit as odd and uneven as its protagonist, Ronnie Barnhardt. It sometimes wants to be Paul Blart and meanders into Taxi Driver territory but mostly its an unbalanced mess with a few laughs and a great soundtrack.

Any part with a fight was awesome and the coke bender montage was hysterical. The last half hour makes the movie but that first hour had a few brutal points. None of the performances left an impression on me but I'd like to see what else director Jody Hill has to offer up in the future.
