Review of O (2001) by Michael C — 11 Sep 2007
Suprisingly excellent updated version of the Shakespeare play Othello. Though some of the dialogue is horrifically "trendy" ("I'm always straight with you, O" from Stiles being the most notorious culprit) most of it is very well crafted.
Josh Hartnett is the standout in the cast, playing the evil Iago with a hint of sympathy and pushing his jealousy in a more subtle way at times.
