Nymphomaniac: Volume 1 is an entertaining yet uneven film. The acting (and indeed writing) veers between great to really quite bad. Likewise, the pacing and cutting suffers from occasionally bizarre shifts.
But... Despite it's deep flaws, Nymphomanic : Volume 1 is still a film that is hard to take your eyes away from.
