Review of Nowhere to Go (2012) by Aldo G — 21 Jun 2017
Noir fans will relish this little-known minor masterwork by first time director Seth Holt. The director was a former editor who deftly uses that skill to structure a well told story of a crook whose perfect crime goes awry.
Maggie Smith is luminous in her first screen role. George Nader carries the lead role well and maybe could have been a bigger film star had the studio system not been leery of his sexual orientation. Dizzy Reece's jazz score is another reason to enjoy this film.
