Review of Nowhere Boy (2009) by Vero S — 22 Jan 2011
The real life John Lennon was talented, no doubt, but also kind of a jerk. The key is to be charming and witty, which Aaron Johnson is. They underplay the role of Paul and George in the creation of the quarrymen, but for good reason.
This is a movie made to victimize John and cement his role in history as the quiet bitter genius, whether it is the truth or not.
