Review of Nowhere Boy (2009) by Marisa T — 26 Jan 2011
I've just sat through NOWHERE BOY and I don't remember a thing.
There's a certain "I love you" only between a mother and a son that happens early enough near the beginning that brought me to tears and kept me there for the whole thing.
Between the familiarity of the subject matter and the emotional journey that I could relate to from the Mother then the son then the mother then the son.
I got dizzy trying to figure out who I was in the scheme of his life so I just let go and hung on for dear tears to fall where they may.
Yeah, I gotta see it again. But not alone. And not with my son. And not with anyone else's mother. Or anyone else's son. Damn it!
I'll just wait for the Oscars;.
Actors, costumes, set design, sreenplay, editing, and quite possibly music although it is ironically NOT a prevailing factor.
Lol ... I think it's funny that of all the words I used the spell-check for, the only one I actually misspelled is screenplay.
