Review of Nowhere Boy (2009) by Jay N — 02 Mar 2011
Saw this movie a few months ago and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. Following the early life of John Lennon, Director Sam Taylor Wood has crafted an enjoyable, touching film that focuses more on the personal family drama in young Lennon's life, more than the formation of the Beatles.
We do meet some of his future band mates, but like I said, the story isn't really about them. It's just a really nice little film about how a teenager entering adulthood deals with death and the values of family.
