Review of Nowhere Boy (2009) by Xolelwa N — 25 Jul 2011
I loved it... I never knew John Lennon's life was that traumatic before forming the Beatles... Great but not brilliant performance by Johnson, don't think Lennon was that built. The voice and singing were haunting! Supporting cast were just as good especially Scott-Thomas, she deserves an award of some sort for it.
As for the story, a classic Hollywood narrative with a few flashbacks, just what a film set in the 1950's needs. Overall a great film for anyone trying to search/discover what they're good at (or remember), figure themselves out and appreciate the people around them.
I loved it, go watch it!
