Aaron Johnson as the teenage John Lennon. Abandoned by his mother at an early age and tended to by his really strict aunt, he soon reconnects with his mother and finds his passion for music. Remember that little kid on Love Actually that wanted to be the drummer so he could get the girl? Well he gets to play Paul McCartney.
Fortunately there were no special effects or reason to see it on the big screen (although I love seeing EVERYTHING on the big screen), it makes a great rainy day rental.
