This is a good movie with a mediocre ending. The acting is good, the locations, sets and costumes keep you entertained. Bette Davis' transformation is very realistically acted. The end dissapointed.
I expected the long-described but never revealed wife to appear and either reclaim her family from Bette Davis or release her hold on her troubled husband.
