Review of Nothing Like the Holidays (2008) by Janice F — 02 Jan 2010
What's a family without the drama? I quite liked it. It felt very real, like what would happen in a normal family, all the issues people were facing... but I didn't see a point to the movie. It was like taking a seat and watching a family bicker about the family business, the holiday, whether or not affairs were happening, etc.
.. but there was no real overlying tale or story really. I think they were initially going with the "boy comes home from war" thing, but that didn't pan out the way it should.
