Review of Nothing But the Truth (2008) by Mark O — 06 May 2009
With garbage like "Woverine" and "The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)" getting placed on thousands of screens, how does a film like "Nothing But the Truth" end up going straight to DVD.
Is it because is has an intelligent script and solid direction by Rod Lurie (The man behind "The Contender" and "The Last Castle")?
Maybe it's because the performances by Matt Dillon, Alan Alda and Kate Beckensale don't feel wooden and unnatural.
I guess the better the film is, the less respect it deserves.
This is one everyone should not miss. It is definitely one of last years best.
