Review of Notes on a Scandal (2006) by Gabriele B — 11 Jun 2009
A strange movie...I liked the idea at first, but I didn't liked the outworking...the main characters where actually well developed, but Sheba (Cate Blanchett) acted not really realistic during her affair with Steven (Andrew Simpson, not bad but doesn't fit perfect into the role).
..but Barbara (Judi Dench) was the interesting part of the movie, her intentions and acting was wonderful....the plot itself was okay, it was realistic, also the end but the whole movie left a bad taste, but I can't say why - it's not that the plot idea was immorally in my view (not really), I think it was the character of Sheba that didn't fit well in the whole plot.
