Judi Dench tour dur forces as a bitter, aging and eventually unstable history teacher who creates acid greatness even with the smallest of words of sentences. Acting out Patrick Marber's screenplay with darkly comical wit and psychological depth.
Cate Blanchett also strikes great building cruelty as the selfish cheating wife Sheba Heart.
