Review of Not One Less (1999) by Jan A — 24 Nov 2007
A 13-year old is taking over as a replacement teacher in one of the outskirt villages of china. it's like the shepherd tending her sheep, making sure her flock remains in tact. but when one was missing, the young teacher goes on a lonely and thoughtful expedition of finding her lost sheep.
but more than that, it paints a picture of the quality of chinese education. the acting, believable. overall, laudable.
