Review of Not of This Earth (1988) by Bill B — 15 Jun 2011
I wasn't sure what to expect from this aside from some nudity from Traci Lords, but I ended up being very amused from start to finish. The film has a campy tone that is just a joy to watch, to be perfectly honest.
Lords takes a gig as personal nurse to an eccentric guy who requires frequent blood transfusions, which leads her to an alien plot. The great part of all this is that there's never any real aliens shown, they're humanoid, but the film opens with an alien montage culled from a ton of other Roger Corman produced films from the same era! The guy is just shameless, you gotta love it.
Well worth a rental.
