Review of Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979) by Paul P — 24 Nov 2009
Herzog's Nosferatu is like a fleshed out version of Murnau's groundbreaking film. The movie is wonderfully shot, every frame looks like a Rembrandt painting. The second half of the movie focuses too much on the threat of the plague and not enough on the main characters.
Klaus Kinski is flawless as Count Dracula. Herzog creates an uneasy sense of danger and gloom.
