Review of Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979) by Ida B — 31 Jan 2010
Whenever Werner Herzog and Klaus Kinski gets together it results in brilliant movies, and this is no exeption. I must say that this is my favorite interpertation of Bram Strokers Dracula, Herzog has taken some artistic liberties with the storyline and created a living play were so many other tends to be flat and more or less simular.
And the acting of Kinski is just extraordinary. The dining scene in Draculas castle, which have a habit of getting boring in the wrong hands, is one of my favorite scenes in this one because of Kinskis intensity.
