Review of Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979) by Quinto W — 01 Oct 2011
Werner Herzog had a rather difficult task remaking one of the most important films in cinema history, but not only does he succeed, he may even better the original. The screenplay approaches Count Dracula with a human sensitivity not seen before, and Klaus Kinski's stellar performance breaks your heart more than he terrorizes it.
With spectacular music, lighting and atmosphere, this is truly one of the best vampire movies ever.
