Review of Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979) by James S — 18 Apr 2008
Don't expect it to be faithful to the story of Dracula as written by Stoker. It's nearly more an atmospheric film than a dramatic one. Herzog builds a mysterious atmosphere by paying close attention to light, colors, landscape and music, as in the beautiful silent scene in which we can see Jonathan walking alone towards the castle.
