Review of Nosferatu (1922) by Rick M — 06 Oct 2009
I tried watching it last year and fell asleep. I fell asleep again this year and so made a cup of coffee. After the coffee I fell asleep again and missed the ending. I don't mean to imply the film is boring, truthfully I fall asleep during movies all the time.
.. I just become so relaxed and doze off. Nosferatu is probably of more interest to a student of film than it is to me since neither silent films nor vampires are really my thing. There are some scenes I appreciate but overall the pacing is too slow.
I appreciate the historical value, I like the photography and Max Schreck is the creepiest vampire of all time but next time I'm watching it on fast forward.
