Review of Nosferatu (1922) by Lynda M — 24 Nov 2009
Murnau's iconic vampire film has aged some since its debut eighty-seven years ago, but its effectiveness is still strong in the 21st century. Count Orlok no longer terrifies us, but he haunts us and strangely enough, that's more effective than if he leaped out of nowhere at us like so many of his imitators today practice.
