Review of Nosferatu (1922) by Brandon W — 05 Oct 2010
This incredible silent horror film is the best rendition of Bram Stoker's Dracula one could ever hope to find. The film may feel dated by today's standards, but it really hasn't lost any of it's potency after almost a century.
Max Schreck is absolutely sublime as Count Orlok, and Greta Schroeder is stunning as Ellen, wife of Hutter. Utterly incredible. No one has ever been able to attain the level of beauty and elegance like Nosferatu has.
Werner Herzog came close with his remake in 1979, but this is still the champion.
