This movie is iconic to true horror fans... However, this is the longest 3 hours of my life, and the movie is 80 minutes. I gave a full star for Schreck's performance, which is legendary, but all else is EXTREMELY outdated and softened.
I am sure in 1922 this would have made people wet themselves, but in 2012? Well, the effect is less threatening. Make sure to find a print with a proper score. The Netflix streaming version had music that made your ears bleed.
