Review of Nosferatu (1922) by Baurushan J — 23 Feb 2012
This is just one of those vampire movies that it's not scary, not creepy, it's a fucking masterpiece. Nosferatu has to be one of the scariest vampires we've seen since Tom Cruise has played a blonde and mad blood-curdling torturous creature of the night.
Nosferatu's appearance will make you cringe, his name you make you shiver with fear, his creeps will make you back away, the terrifying disease himself will make your heart pound and run out of the door Which is why the film is so fricking awesome.
Max Schreck plays another iconically original character and this movie really shows. Lon Chaney owned The Phantom of the Opera and his son Lon Chaney Jr owned The Wolfman, Bela Lugosi owned Dracula and Max Schreck owns Nosferatu.
The film is quite complicated. It's about the vampire himself in Bremen who is spreading a disease so they have a curse that when the cock crows in the morning, he will be dead and the plan works.
Like Dracula, The music is scary, the setting is intense, the acting is amazing like history and the film is just great in general. Nosferatu gets a 10/10.
