The background scene is beautiful but the movie is a bit bored. The director tried to use green color and lots of close shot to construct the feeling. It is not a film for Haruki Murakami's die hard fans and also not a movie for who with no knowledge about the novel.
May be it is so difficult to make the novel become a good movie.
