Review of Norwegian Wood (2010) by Scott G — 10 Jul 2011
A man looks back at a time in his life, the time being the 60s and the two women who appear in his life. one a childhood friend both grieveing the loss of a mutual friend, and another who he knows from his school, he likes them both the childhood friend has problems and after a sexual encounter disappears from his life and later is her rock due to being in a bad place, while the other, in a relationship but close by.
the film plays well its slow pace working well, all involved are engageing and the film is never dull. a haunting score at times which I found out was by jonny greenwood he of radiohead and of course, the score for there will be blood.
a very engageing film that demands attention and pays off.
