Review of Norwegian Wood (2010) by Yuriati T — 05 Apr 2012
I couldn't think of anyone else but Rinko as Naoko when I read the novel - but I hate to admit that she wasn't good enough here. Frankly speaking, the movie did not do any justice for the amazing book Murakami had written.
The plot was too fast-paced, characters were soulless, and lacking PLENTY of crucial moments. The director did such a wonderful job in killing the characters so much so that the whole story did not seem to matter at all.
As I loved the book, this was pretty painful to watch.
