Review of North by Northwest (1959) by Kyle M — 15 Oct 2014
Stretching the story to nearly 2.5 hours may seem reasonable since the notable pieces of suspense required some time to energize, but it still offer some entertainment by Hitchcock's usual tactic of unveiling details to unwrap the mysterious wonder that became of the best original screenplays to thrill. It follows the usual, repeated formula with different kinks, and both Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint performed really well. That totals up that this is the best Hitchcock picture I've seen so far. (A-).
