Review of North by Northwest (1959) by Nico S — 11 Aug 2015
I loved this movie a lot, I like how the story started right from the get go and the questions are raised immediately. Some scenes were very suspenseful, which is why Hitchcock is the master of suspense.
I kinda had a problem with the love story but that's just a product of its time, so it's justifiable. The acting might not get high praise today but back in the day that was the norm, so that's justifiable as well.
The encompassing story of the kidnapping was very well written, I thought it was very clever and like nothing I've seen or read before. It's nice to see that the classics are still fresh today as they were back then.
