Review of Noriko's Dinner Table (2005) by Richard C — 07 Dec 2008
A very impressive film. I watched this without knowing what it was about other than the fact that it was from the same director as "Suicide Circle" and I didn't really get where the hell it's going until about halfway through the movie.
The storytelling is pretty unusual, switching from character to character and has a real surreal vibe to it. There's many connections to "Suicide Circle", this being somewhat of a sequel to that movie.
It does run a little long at over two and a half hours, but it didn't really bother me until the very end, at which point I began to wonder when the hell they were going to end this thing.
