Review of Noriko's Dinner Table (2005) by Josh S — 15 Feb 2009

Completely different from it's sister movie - Suicide Club. A lot more complex, as well. For some reason, I was expected the same buckets-of-blood gore fest that Suicide Club was, but got... barely any blood at all. Basically, the only thing is has in common is the website, and the train station event.

But... having said all of that... Still, a really great movie. As long as you are not expecting Suicide Club, and have over 2.5 hours to dedicate to watching it. Out there, as most Japanese movies are, but with a lot of complex characters and plot lines. This movie scares you - not in the way SC did, but on a more psychological level.

Overall, a pretty good movie...
