Review of Non-Stop (2014) by Mukesh V — 03 Aug 2014
"The Hijacking Was Just The Beginning..".
Nonstop is perfectly titled, I mean this pne just doesn't let off the accelerator. Its a seriously mind-bending, reality-flipping, mentally-exhausting, and tension-loaded thrill machine that's packed with enough twists, turns and brain-bashing insanity to drive the viewer straight to cinematic comatose. This is a great thriller people, one of the best, well-written and executed suspense film for quite some time. Director Jaume Collet-Serna (House Of Wax, Goal! The Dream Begins, Goal! 2: Livig The Dream, Orphan, Unknown) and company jist keep getting better at these psychological thrillers, Collet-Serna and his team can concoct some seriously engaging cinematic mazes, and Nonstop may well be his best yet. So sit down, relax, tune everything out, pop this film on and get ready for an absolutely pulse-pounding whirlwind of intrigue, deception psychological anguish, and pure and simple movie driven and cinematically induced entertainment and that's a personal guarantee. Its a sort of mix between "Taken", "Unknown", "Flightplan" and Red Eye" Its tough as hell to pull off a great story, solid plot and entertaining film within the claustrophobic confines of an airplane, and this one wprks brilliantly.
The chemistry between legendary actor Liam Neeson and brilliant talent Julianne Moore in their respective lead amd supporting roles make the film that much mpre engaging. These two are masterful throughout, both commanding the scenes they appear in for the duration.
