Review of Non-Stop (2013) by Alasdair B — 17 Sep 2014
Liam Neeson's latest film "Taken 2" was a huge let down. I loved the first film. I'm happy to say "Non Stop" is better than Taken 2. A little. The setup is this film is great. For the most part of the movie there was allot of suspense. The problem with it is this. It wastes is cast. The cast in this film is full of talented well respected actors. Scoot McNairy appears right away and he is totally underused. He has shown true acting skills every time I have seen him. Actress Lupita Lyong'o is a fantastic actress and she is wasted.
Constantly throughout I was annoyed with Julianne Moore's character. She was absolutely pointless and sucked the life out of each scene she was in.
In the end, this film could have been much better. It started out very well and kept me invested for a good hour. The final act is preposterous and a let down. It tears down everything the movie built up. Not to mention the CGI effects are lazy. Still, it is a decent action thriller, and Liam Neeson kicked butt. But if we are honest, thats the only reason we saw this film.
