Review of Non-Stop (2013) by Andrew W — 15 Nov 2014
I had the pleasure of seeing Non-Stop four days before its release date, and let me tell you, it was worthwhile.
Non-Stop is about an Air Marshal (Liam Neeson) who is sent a text during a flight by an anonymous person on the plane that someone will die every 20 minutes unless $150 million is put into a bank account. I had a lot of fun watching this movie. They unfolded the movie very well, and the plot twists kept you on the edge of your seat. It was really enjoyable and was very suspenseful.
One thing I noticed about this movie was how well it was set up in the beginning. Lots of movies try to cram in so much background information in the beginning of the movie so that it's so hard to process. This movie managed to use little or no words in the beginning while still giving you hints on the background of Neeson's character.
This movie had very good acting. Liam Neeson was really the most notable character (obviously) but everyone did their jobs well.
The cinematography was very well-done in this movie as well. They put the shots at clever angles and did the shaky-cam very well to complement what is happening in the plane.
This movie is not for anyone under 13. It has little language, but the suspense can be quite scary and might be too much for younger kids.
Overall, Non-Stop, was fun, suspenseful, and set up its characters very well.
