Review of Noises Off... (1992) by Joseph B — 12 Sep 2010
This movie holds close to my heart on a personal level as I starred as 'Tim Algood' in my debut stage acting role of this play with The Newcastle Players. This movie is a fun and fast paced farce.
It stars familiar names cast as the characters, Michael Caine, Christopher Reeve, John Ritter to name a few. There are a lot of sardines and door activity, which makes a good farce. Act 2 of the play or the second part of the film is my favourite bit as there's hardly any dialogue and you see all the action from back stage and is quite amusing.
It's choreographed well and has to be as it's full of running about. Slapstick and light hearted, don't expect anything too serious.
