Review of Noelle (2007) by Edith V — 09 Dec 2007
Hmm. I have mixed feelings about this movie, but would give it a thumbs up. It is well directed, and well acted. The story line is good. What disturbed me most is the way the alcohol was portrayed. I am used to movies with alcohol, but this zoomed in on the alcohol, and you watched as people drank it in a way that made you feel like you were drinking yourself.
Otherwise, it did have some morals I really liked. Redemption, saving an unplanned baby...it was disturbing that someone was a priest all their lives and was not a good one and was mean and never wanted to be a priest and etc.
One of the great morals was to love one another. I loved the feeling of love, companionship, and comradery.
