Review of Nocturnal Animals (2016) by Angie H — 22 Feb 2017
I cannot stand movies where all of a sudden out of nowhere the ending credits roll. It makes me feel as if the writer has gotten writer's block, or ran out of time, and didn't care to "finish" the movie.
Also, this movie (the scenes involving Jake Gyllenhaal portraying a road trip with his family) THAT part of this movie is riveting, and gripping. In fact, I wish the writer and director had decided to just have THAT be the storyline, and the plot of the movie.
Amy Adam's character, her husband, their daughter....ALL could have been easily eliminated from this movie and I might have given it more than two stars. The ending was disappointing.
