Review of Nocturnal Animals (2016) by Jacob L — 09 Jun 2018
The cinematography was just perfect . beyond stunning , a lot of close ups of Amy which I didn't mind she's a beautiful woman and the camera loves her, especially her eyes.
It's very well acted , Jake once again proves he's one of the best working actors out there today , I felt for his character even tho he wasn't real or was he ? the ending was a bit confusing.
Michael Shannon came out of nowhere but he really did a solid job.
Jenna Malone and Armie Hammer also appear and do excellent with what their given even tho the airbrushing on Hammer's face was a bit distracting.
The blending of the real world and the story was neat, something I haven't seen done before in a while. It all just synched , and the results were gorgeous to look at.
Overall it was great from a film lover standpoint but from a normal perspective it was a bit of a downer in parts. Still good tho.
