So dark and melancholy. Aaron-Taylor Johnson is the best actor in the film; he really pulls off the creepy, unforgivable villain here. Other excellent performances come from Jake Gyllenhaal for his character's desperation, Michael Shannon for his character's regret, and Amy Adams for her character's cynicism.
An excellent screenplay and even more excellent direction from the inexperienced second-time director Tom Ford.
