Review of Nocturnal Animals (2016) by Doughboii — 13 Dec 2016
Nocturnal Animals is a film that is going to draw many different emotions out of the viewer. Ranging from disgust, anger, sadness, and anxiety.
I was not a fan of the beginning, felt it was unnecessary, well... That and I hadn't eaten much and it stirred up some queasy feelings up. Aside from that the movie is amazing, constantly on the edge of my seat, mixed emotions at every turn. Great Cinematography and Great actors. The whole story being an analogy of the pains Edward (Jake Gyllenhaal) went through after the divorce and abortion of his daughter. Susan (Amy Adams) representing both his wife in the book and in a way the criminals. Great movie that will leave you memorized for hours and even days. A must watch.
