It stumbles immediately out of the gate but quickly recovers and presents an intense mystery that is heightened by a well-executed sense of suspense, all the while accompanied by incredible performances from Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Shannon.
Its ending is bold and with never feeling slow or that its not progressing in some form, it is as entertaining as it is poignant.
