Nocturnal Animals.
An art dealer struggles with guilt over her past while reading an early copy of a novel written by her ex-husband.
Wasted potential. That's what this film eventually becomes. The previews are misleading, the acting is rushed, the writing incomplete and, most importantly, the direction is aimless. But that's what you get when you let a famous fashion designer, with minimal filmmaking experience, direct his own project. What could've been an elegant art house thriller stumbles out the gate and falls flat just shy of the finish line.
