This is a story about 4 children left abandoned by their mother in Tokyo, Japan. It is based on a true incident that happened there in 1988. The actor that plays the 12 year old boy that is put in charge of his three younger siblings does an amazing job! It's a long movie.
..and quite sad...but it kept us riveted every moment throughout.
