Review of Nobody Knows (2004) by Frances C — 31 Aug 2008
I didn't cry when I saw this, so maybe I don't have a heart. The few moments of joy--followed by some of the saddest scenes I have ever seen in my whole life--made this a well-balanced film. Everything in this movie looks so simple and basic that its visual impact is magnified.
The bare dialogue, while slowing the pace of film, worked well since the silence spoke more of the children's abandonment and bewilderment.
